I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. This morning in Tokyo while I draw I think of the apple orchards, creeks, moss, bears.... the rattle of a rattler, I remember where I am from. Below is a sketch from this morning and a video describing some of the words I still remember even as I live on the other side of the world. NC to TYO.

BW Creative Kev told me about this all night photo shoot he did awhile back. Met up with Alani Cruz, NYC Artist and Tokyo resident last night for the first time while picking up fliers for ART FOR PEOPLE shows. Today I was skyping with Kev and he told me the photos were up on the BLACK SIGN website. Peeped the site and realized while checking out the photos that Cruz was at the table as well. Small World. Do what you do: But, do it the best you can:
A lot of the time sharing ART with the world seems like an act of charity in it's self. But when what you create can directly help people in need. People you have never met. Well that is just good. Thank you for everyone who came to support such an event. Keep it moving and come to the next two. I have the habit of live painting at events. Although I did not live paint at this one, I did draw all over people.
