Fist Fam are friends from NC that for the most part have relocated to SF. They not only make a lot of music but live the music. They were featured on this blog which also seems to have a few good hours of music to draw to.

While I sat alone on a small island looking up at the stars I thought "How can I communicate in the dark of night...but of course...music...and my love affair with the Ukuklele began.

After two months I am sitting on the beach and as I play my Ukulele it causes another to sing and dance.

I love it when there is nothing to block the light.

But all of that beauty and wonder builds an appetite...which was fulfilled with fresh grown herbs in this Thai Ramen.

After a delicious home cooked meal I stopped in for an ice cream treat at the Original Blue Seal Big Dip an Okinawan classic born from an American recipe. As I enjoyed my mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream waffle cone I reminisced about Jack the Dipper in my old home town.

I think this dude wanted to talk about a five year plan...

Back when Empathinc was a "physical space" Scott Avett of the Avett Brothers had a solo show at my dad's, Tom Schulz Artist, gallery. They have a rather large following and because I am friends with fans on Social Networks I run across videos of them once in awhile. Here is one I saw today...

I enjoyed another jewel of a spot, the fun filled tender of the small bar is over 70 and has been running the little bar for over 40 years.

Brilliant World Beach bag... good for the beach.

Any chance I get to play my ukulele while the sun sets... I'll take it.

This particular beach is close to the airport so you also get to watch huge planes landing.

I love sitting in the light of a sunset.

I figure the year is not over until it`s over. I spent Christmas at the Kanucha Resort a popular destination on the north side of the island.

After a huge Japanese breakfast, where they cooked the rice the old fashioned way, I headed to the Churaumi Aquarium. It really is a big tank.

Back in Naha I went to a Christmas Party at Hawaiian Cafe Waioli.

Here is a sunset shot from Shurijo Castle.

And my cousin O-chan flew in so out for yakiniku. He is picking me up in a few minutes so gotta go... enjoy the last few days of 2010.

With only two more days left in the year I was lucky enough to cruise around with my cousin. We started off at Ryukyu Glass.

Then stopped by 斎場御嶽. It was really amazing.

Luckly it is right near my favorite Thai Cafe くるくま。

The food is amazing and so is the view.

And it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy a glass of Orion and some frozen Mango chunks.

We then moved on wandering around run down hotels, sugar cane farms and surf spots.

Before making it back to Araha Beach for sunset.

And a spot in at the American Village.

It is the last day of 2010 here in Japan. I am still down in Okinawa. It was cloudy and a little cold with the wind but we went down to Sunset Beach to hang out anyway.

Before that we stopped by my favorite and highly recommended flower shop and school Branche to pick up some flowers for lei making down by the beach.

The shop was full of New Year Flowers and smelled like flower heaven.

Down by the windy beach lei making and ukulele jamming.

And a few songs and drawings later we have a beautiful lei.

As seen here.

Then a pit stop into King Tacos.

Tacos and Taco rice... none of the fancy stuff just the real deal.

Then a little band practice.

And a feast.

Off to enjoy the last day of the year... hope you all are as well!!!
